Handcrafted from scratch, and shaped into our popular whale shape, the piece starts with intricately sculpted waves that are then inverted and filled with resin. The resin’s refractive properties allow sunlight to dance across the surface, creating a mesmerising illusion of the shifting ocean currents. Use and Care
Resin is an Epoxy Glass, and has glass like features. This means it will scratch over time, so please treat all products with care. Warm hand wash with soapy water, do not soak, do not put in the dishwasher.
All our resin used is food safe (unless damaged) and can withstand up to 80 degrees Celsius.
For all cheeseboards it is recommended to use the resin as decoration only, please do not cut on the resin, it will scratch over time. For everyday chopping, flip the board over, place a tea towel underneath and chop on the back of the board.
Regularly re-oil the timber with grapeseed oil to instil longevity.
